Hi all, and thanks in advance for support.
I got an als4000 (pci), and I can't get joystick support to work, with
kernel 2.4.9.
I do not know if alsa is part of the problem but I don't even know
where to start to solve my problem:

Hi !
I apologise if this problem has been discussed before but
the
archive search facility is broken.
With ALSA installed whenever I try to access my floppy drive
e.g. mount
a disk, my machine freezes. The machine is a home built PC
with a Yamaha

Hi Peter,

provides many informations, a sample alsa config file and more... Take a
look at it!
Cheers,
Martin

I'm trying to get sound working on my Thinkpad 600, which has a Crystal 4237B,
which I believe should work with the cs4236 driver.
First problem is that the included install-sh link points nowhere. Shouldn't it
point to ../alsa-driver.whatever/install-sh? Or just include it in each package?

Can anyone tell me if midi is supported on the ymfpci cards (specifically,
a Hoontech Digital XG)? How about the digital i/o for the card?
Does anyone know if the mailing list search functionality will be fixed at

Yes :)

Partially. Yes with OSS, yes with alsa 0.5, not usefully with 0.9.x. I get
complete system hangs and all sorts of other trouble.

Hello,
I would like to know wether there are any recommended Midi Interfaces for
alsa (preferrably for alsa 0.9+).
the sound card matrix only listed the motu ones (and that as untested) -
hopefully I havenĀ“t overseen others ;)
I though of stuff like the "cheap" 2/4 Midi in/out. Not the "prof

Hi!
Finally, I managed to get the alsa driver working properly. I can use
amixer to alter the volume on the different channels and I can use kscd
to listen to CDs. But there are two problems, I wasnt able to solve yet:
1) Although I compiled alsa-driver-0.5.11 with OSS support, I still cant
use
