I have compiled the 0.9rc1 alsa-sound drivers for my Crystal Semiconductor
soundcard: cs4236 on a Red Hat 7.2 system. When I try to run alsamixer I
get this error:
alsamixer: function snd_ctl_open failed for default: sound protocol is not
compatible
any ideas?

I download the latest CVS on Thursday night on a clean machine, Am able to install the drivers and the lib.
