That should be alias sound-slot-0 snd-card-0 . Note that emu10k1 is the

A couple of weeks ago I bought a 1010lt card, and also linstalled Alsa
0.9.0rc6. Everything seems to work ok so far (I hadn't have much time to
play around yet, since I had to go away just a couple of days after I got
the thing working), except a tiny little thing: The volume control in XMMS

Any news or suggestion on this issue? Do I need to resubmit
this problem to the development list as well? A developper
from Alsa project is welcome to visit us and investigate the
problem on site -- we can only offer room and board but that
could be worth the trip itself...

Oh one more thing...the kernel does already have sound support. I actually
had sound working prior to trying to install ALSA for the extra
features...and the projects that rely upon it.

Dear All,

about the way out yet. I have Intel 845 based board with AD1980 codec. I have
installed modules and edited the /etc/modules.conf as needed (atleast, thats what i
believe) . But Sound won't come. Al
