Something has happend to the driver. I had a cvs version that worked well but I can't find it anymore. rc6 is missing bass and rc7 produces very distored sound. I will check in the mail archive if I can find the patch to rc6 to make it work again. Right now i dont have possibility to do any pract

As soon as I upgraded, on Gentoo, from ALSA 0.9.0 RC6 to ALSA 0.9.0 RC7, my Turtle Beach Santa Cruiz card stopped working altogether, from just being able to use the front two speakers in RC6. Look's like in the RC7 release the amplifier_ctrl(...) function is never called on initialization

Hi, Having downloaded alsa-driver, alsa-lib, alsa-utils (all 0.9.0rc7), I compiled and inserted the driver, with seemingly no errors. The same happened with alsa-lib and alsa-utils. Everything seems to work fine, and lsmod shows up with snd-via82xx. alsamixer lets me unmute and set the channel
