Hi,
After pondering the situation for awhile, I finally closed my eyes and
bought Santa Cruz. The card should be here on Monday. I've read a
lot of commentary on the lack of support from Cirrus Logic on the
Crystal Semiconductor 4630, especially Jaroslav's comments back in May
of 2002. From m
Something has happend to the driver. I had a cvs version that worked
well but I can't find it anymore. rc6 is missing bass and rc7 produces
very distored sound. I will check in the mail archive if I can find the
patch to rc6 to make it work again.
Right now i dont have possibility to do any pract
Hi,
IIRC, the phase reversal problem (causes lack of bass) was fixed with
the patch from 2002-12-09. On 2002-12-10 a patch was released with some
corrections that worked my DMX XFire, i.e. I would try
2002-12-09.tar.bz2 from cvs
plus the patch from 2002-12-10.

Sweet, if you can find that (or just tell me a version that did work, since I can
install any of em) I would greatly appreciate it. I gave random versions another go
last night with little success. :)

As soon as I upgraded, on Gentoo, from ALSA 0.9.0 RC6 to ALSA 0.9.0 RC7, my
Turtle Beach Santa Cruiz card stopped working altogether, from just being
able to use the front two speakers in RC6.
Look's like in the RC7 release the amplifier_ctrl(...) function is never
called on initialization

Hi,
Having downloaded alsa-driver, alsa-lib, alsa-utils (all 0.9.0rc7), I
compiled and inserted the driver, with seemingly no errors. The same
happened with alsa-lib and alsa-utils. Everything seems to work fine,
and lsmod shows up with snd-via82xx. alsamixer lets me unmute and set
the channel
I'm not able to get any analog audio source to play on my SBLive anymore. The
only sound I can get is AC3 in passthrough mode.
Do I need to switch it back to a non-passthrough mode in order to get sound
again? If so - how?

I already did this from the start.

How should those be set? I have played around with them, but they seem
to have no effect. I can disable SPDIF output
Hey all ;)

Turtle Beach Santa Cruiz card stopped working altogether, from just being

Any help? ;)
Thanks
