Hi Thomas,
Somewhat unrelated, but you may be the best person able to answer:
Do you see that a driver for the new hdsp9632 is likely to be along in the
near term? Are RME helping out in any way, for example chipset
documentation, and or sample cards for interested developers? (Anyone

Hi all,
I have an ibook 2 dual usb (june 2001)with Debian testing
I installed a 2.4.21 benH kernel on it and got the Alsa sources 0.9.4-1 and
compiled them fine but when I try to load the modules I can see i2c loading and
then my ibook hangs up suddenly!
Anybody has an idea about what I can do
There does not seem to be an '-march' flag passed to gcc during
compilation. Is ALSA always built for the lowest architecture that is
compatible with the machine?

Hi Bernez -
Some more information would be helpful.
Which soundcard? Was one identified/configured during the
installation? Do you

Hi,
I noticed lately that some (sensible) restrictions
on the articulation of ipga levels vs. D/A levels
had been built into the alsa mixer for the ice1712
cards. I am now using the Alsa driver built into
the 2.5.73 kernel, and I find that under no
circumstances am I able to raise any of the
So i'm slowly figuring out that ALSA is way more than just an audio driver
API. It can do routing, format conversion and MIDI. Funny thing is that I
thought I read the ALSA docs fairly well and found not so much information
on these subjects. Am I looking in the wrong place? www.alsa-project.org
