I just got a new sound blaster live and Master and PCM don't work. Their
functions seem assigned to Headphone and Wave. While those mearly sound
strange the problem comes when I found out that no mixers(xfce4's) pick
those up and no programs will use them (XMMS). SO my questions is, how do

I'm trying to get a pdaudiocf card running on a Compaq
Armada m700 (850mhz, e100 NIC)..
* I've tried both 2.4.25 and 2.6.5 kernels with similar results.
* This card operates correctly on my older Armada 1750.
* other pcmcia cards appear to operate correctly.
* The base distro is Fedora Core 2

When I try '/sbin/insmod snd-es1968', I get unresolved symbols error.
/proc/ksyms don`t have nothing close to missing entries.
Any advice is wellcome.

I'm running alsa-1.0.4 on kernel 2.6.5 with an
sblive 5.1.
Everything works great except
asfxload.
It can only access the first 10MB or so of the

the machine.
I've tried the same version of sfxload ( 0.5.0b )

OK. So I've used this command:

Hi,
I am unable to get my microphone working. The chipset is VIA VT8235 (AD1980)
on an ASUS A7V8X-X. I am using the snd-via82xx driver.
Playback works without a glitch, but I am unable to capture anything. The
microphone works, as I can hear feedback coming out of the speakers. I tried
