Hi!
Can anybody confirm, RME HDSP 9632 (with current driver, hdspconf and
hdspmixer) *does* work in slave mode with getting sync clock via SPDIF input
(both coaxial and optical)? Are there any demands to such sync signal? Is
silent spdif stream sufficient?
Thanks!

Hi!
I have tried this Java app http://www.cs.hmc.edu/~keller/jazz/improvisor/
with Sun's jdk 5 and 6, and have tried to find app's MIDI ports on qjackctl's
MIDI tab, but without success. 'hdsp' alsa driver is in use for RME HDSP9632,
and the card's MIDI ports are visible. Tha app's preferences dia

Hi!
Do I understand well, xine strongly demands a mixer alsa-control from
alsa? And at case such control doesn't exist (say, for 'hdsp' alsa driver),
xine is unusable with alsa. Is it so?

Hi!
What is the current state of 'hdsp' alsa driver? Does it still require
to downgrade RME HDSP 9632 firmware to v.1.51 (as I have found while
googling)?

Marc,
For me (I use ICE1724 driver for Terratec Aureon 7.1 Space) this

Udo,
It seems like this way all works OK:

Udo,
I don't know wich 'x' must be for SPDIF input. 'aplay -l' out is:

Hi!
The aim is very simple: to record 44100/16/2 SPDIF stream from an external
source with
bit-to-bit accuracy. The thing is I have not found a way to force ALSA iec958

Inversion works. BTW, I have tried 'inv' LADSPA plugin (as ALSA
device) - it works too.
(Is it sufficient to perform futher tests with hw:0,1 only?)

Thanks! I'm happy you have found a minute to devote to the problem :-)
'lspci -vnn | grep 0401' output is:

As for a DAC in use, I didn't understand the question reason: the problem exists

Sergei,
You are right, "as binary signal value increases analog output
value decreases". As for reference, I'm an audio DIY-er, almost all
signal chain is made by my hand :-)
LADSPA is a more high level. ALSA driver configuring is much more
appreciated.

I use ICE1724 ALSA driver for Terratec Aureon 7.1 Space card. Almost
all is fine, big thanks to developers! Nevertheless, I have noticed
both default (line out) and plug:spdif devices'es outputs are inverted.
Is it possible to configure additional inversion and, as a result, to
get "normal" output

Dave,
I have Terratec Aureon 7.1 Space (it was $111 for me). It has ALSA support (ice1724
driver).
The card has 4 stereo outputs (one of them has phone aplifier), or, if you want, 8

analogue outputs. Attention: it seems (for me, at least :-), the card has 2 ADCs only.

Hi,
I have installed 1.0.2c driver for Terratec Aureon 7.1 Space (ice1724).
Now, the aim is to play DVD with 24bit-96k sound. What configuration

I have tried MPlayer (pre 2) with command "mplayer -srate 96000 /dev/scd1",

Has anybody some info about development team plans at this direction? Must I address
the issue to the alsa-devel list? I see anothe parallel thread in the alsa-user list,
where Takashi Iwai "modified the (emu10k1) driver on CVS". Does it mean, Takashi can

the driver doesn't work with more than 16/48000. Am I wrong?
