Hi,
My sound card is a Creative AWE 64 ISA. I compiled alsa with the sbawe
module with and without the '--with-isapnp=yes' flag. No matter what I
do, I can't load the kernel module. I get:
# modprobe snd-sbawe
/lib/modules/2.4.20-20.9/kernel/sound/isa/sb/snd-sbawe.o: init_module:
No such device
Make sure your the your current kernel version and source kernel version
match up.

Hello,
I'm trying to install the snd-cs46xx module for my Turtle Beach Santa
Cruz. As per the instructions I compile everything successfully. But
when I attempt to load the module (modprobe snd-cs46xx) I get the
errors:
/lib/modules/2.4.20-19.9/kernel/sound/pci/cs46xx/snd-cs46xx.o:
init_module:
I've tried (to no avail) to get ALSA working with my TurtleBeach
SantaCruz (see earlier post ALSA is producing no sound). So how can I
switch back to esd or oss?
Thanks,
Harold

Thanks much. I can now hear sound! I'd still like to find out what all
the alsamixer sliders are for, not that I'd mess with them ;)

What recording programs would you recommend for use with ALSA?

Hello,
I have a TurtleBeach SantaCruz. I can't get my headphones to work on
the headphone(black) plug. They only work on the front (green) plug.
Also, how do I configure the SantaCruz's VersaJack?
