It's usually just
warnings, but when I get to opl3_seq I get a lot of error
messages about missing structure members. The documentation on the
Alsa web
site is worthless.
DITTO
I have a new ML9 install and also attempted to recompile Alsa to solve a
sound problem. The effort was very frustrating
Kevin,
Although wrong, this setup does produce sound (via system events and
sound recorder - au files only.) I cannot get wavs to play. Again, I
received this setup from a user at Linux-Thinkpad. Perhaps you can help
me fine tune it.
As requested:
#/sbin/lsmod
Module Size Used
rmmod cs46xx
(then load the ALSA module)
modprobe snd-cs46xx
moprobe snd-pcm-oss
I hope this is helpful.
Your suggestions are most appreciated Kevin.
I have modified my modules.conf as requested but have a concern:
I get an error when manually loading the driver via
root]# modprobe
the CS4232 driver then and,
Can I simply replace the cs46xx with cs4232 in the modules.conf.
(sorry for the top-post)
