The website (template.php3) is wrong, the version number mentioned there
should be 0.9.0beta11 instead of 0.9.11.
Sorry about that. Now changed.

I have just applied the template to all the cards listed on the alsa-howto
wiki.
It would be helpful if other people with indepth knowledge of certain cards
could provide information in the notes sections for each card.
It is really very simple to do.

IMO this should not be in the quicktoots but should be in the alsa-howto wiki and once
completed should be included on the alsa-howto docbook.

Wrong. This cards advertises as having a GM ( General Midi ), both GS

Quite possibly although your card is quit e rare AFAIK.
what's at risk?
That it doesn't work.
can i go back easily?
Yep, but if it doesn't work with 0.5.x then why would you want to?

to use the Mandrake's pre-built kernel.
I've looked at the commend of ALSA v.5 cmipci.c source, that seems a little
bits MOD_PARMs for use, is that true? Or have other way to deal with?
First try updating your drivers to 0.9.x because the cmipci has changed
a lot since 0.5.x.
