Concerning the HDSP multiface, I was wondering if anyone knew how to make it
where I can all the playbacks from automatically sending to the headphones.
I'm sure it is done with amixer but how? For example, I would like to
disconnect the first 8 playbacks from being send to headphone
I've been using the hdsp+digiface/multiface for years now without
serious problems, mainly at 48k, never at higher rates.
That's all I want too, but all 8 channels! I'm getting alot of overhead too
operating at 88.2k.

I've been trying to figure out how to get good multichannel sound with a
laptop and hdsp multiface for about a year now. It has been nothing but a
headache, but I feel like I'm slowly coming to terms with the card.
The main problem is that the ALSA drivers don't like running at 44.1k or
OSS driver works with 25+ ms
latency. I'm about to give up on RME...

I'm just getting started on Linux, and I just purchased a
Multiface/hdsp PCI card in hopes of running a fast computer music
station... its not quite there yet at all. Here is what happens...
