I'm re-sending this e-mail, the precedent one is still blocked in

Hi everyone,
I would like to send a bug report, but the bug tracker is down. I also
found another message on this mailing-list [1] stating that the bug
tracker is down. This message is 2 month old.
How should I submit my bug report ? user or developper mailing-list ?
Or should I wait for the bug
The PHASE 22 audio works perfectly with ALSA, JACK and wineasio but midi port
does not seem to load. In lsmod, the snd-mpu401-uart module appears to be used
by snd-ice1724 but amidi -l or /proc/asound shows no midi devices available.
Version used alsa 1.0.14 in Ubuntu 7.10.
Has anyone succeed
Hi.
If I run:
cat /dev/urandom | aplay -f cd --buffer-size=1024
then the hardware buffer size is 1024 - I can see this using:
grep buffer_size /proc/asound/card0/pcm0p/sub0/hw_params
If I run:
cat /dev/urandom | aplay -f cd --buffer-size=8192
then the hardware buffer size is 8192 - again I can

Found the kernel after and got the driver compiled. There is still no
sound when I reboot with the alsa driver selected though. I've tried
working my way through the syslog and I notice the following lines:
Jun 19 22:18:51 localhost modprobe:
/modules/2.4.x/kernel/drivers/sound/soundcore.o
Maybe 1) describes your problem. If so, sorry, but it seems you'll have to
compile the kernel.

Attention Web
level from the guys at Mandrake (usually bootsplash
type of things, custom logos, nothing major). Kernel base is still 2.4.19, so
the difference with -16mdk should be minimum, at least less than they would
be with big step backwards as 2.4.18. Good luck!

if this is a good choice, because maybe Mandrake people
patched the kernel you're using and incompatibility issues may occur. Install
the RPM of your kernel source if possible.
