The ALSA drivers are part of the kernel; do not use the alsa-driver package.

That kernel is four and a half years out of da
USB ATSC/NTSC tuner card:
ALSA 1.0.21 works
ALSA 1.0.25 does not
arecord --device=hw:0,0 --channels=2 --format=S16_LE --rate=48000
