Richard, We may be talking across each other here. My understanding is that the IRD resource entry for a full cost map must have the media type alto-costmap+json -- that's the only indication that this resource is a full cost map. Similarly, the media type for a filtered cost map resource must be

Hi all, My apologies to reopen this thread. One "concern" of making the IRD data structure a resource ID -> resource object hash map is whether we can still leverage YANG to express "must" constraints easily, should we eventually use YANG as a more formal grammar. My understanding is that YANG us

Fine with me! Although I'd go one small step farther and say that if an entry has media-type alto-costmap+json, then it must not have an "accepts" entry. Similarly, a resource with media-type alto-networkmap+json cannot have "accepts". Note that a server can provide full and filtered cost map se

Oops! I forgot that full and filtered cost maps return the same media-type. Sorry about that. Yes, media-type==alto-costmap+json && accepts == "" => cost-type-names has one entry. media-type==alto-costmap+json && accepts == "alto-costmapfilter+json" => cost-type-names has one or more entries.

I am not trying to open again the discussion on HTTP-based discovery we had some time ago, but it looks to me that situations like the one described by Wendy could imply that we'd need some mechanism for optionally providing metadata as a result of the initial discovery process. Unless I am miss
