For example, I have a file called "aandré.nsf".
This file turns into "aandré.nsf" when I list it with "ls".
But, funnier, Amanda creates 2 files when I restore it ("aandré.nsf"
and "aandr?.nsf").

last day's dump of Amanda (version 2.5.1b1) failed and files were
left over in the holding disk. So I tried to do an amflush which
also fails, nearly immediately. Below is some more info:

Upgrade to 2.5.1b2, latest cvs or latest snapshot
from http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~martinea/amanda
We are close of a stable 2.5.1 release.

Sorry I should've been more clear.. user1, user2, etc.. are just
placeholders for actual directory names. I actually have about 8 or 9
directories with nothing in common in their names.I was just giving
generic names to show what I was attempting to do.

Gene has provided his Amanda helper scripts for others to use. His
scripts create
amdump and amflush wrappers that will write the configuration and indices to
