Hi,
has anyone got Amanda running with a Quantum M2500 library, which is the
same as a Sun L100? Any caveats? Or hints?
Thanks,

The server didn't even want to boot with both disks in.
We had to take the disk out again, reboot, clean the disk and put it in
again.

It looks as if the path /etc/amandapass is hard coded.

users can restore accidently deleted or destroyed
files by their own.
This also works perfectly for solaris (= 2.8).

Hi,
Actually in my experience, you are more likely to see development to
support other OSes OUTSIDE of M$. What might be an interesting idea
is if there is a freeware/opensource backup/restore program for
Windows that could be integrated into the AmandaClient...
As a long time amanda user
speed.
Don't tell me that this is risky as loosing one tape makes the other
one useless - I know that.

and client. The
amanda protocol was changed with amanda 2.4.1 I think. So perhaps you
still have an old client version installed somewhere and inetd.conf is
pointing there?

Where would I have to patch amanda to produce a better readable output?
Has anyone already written a different format line?
Thanks,

Hi,
I'm using the .amanda.exclude.gtar script to exclude a few things
from our backup.
I am having a problem with netscape cache. In the exclude script I
have the following line:
*/.netscape/cache/*
I still get problems in the backup report:
