Actually the reuse/no-reuse parameter doesn't tell you whether AMANDA will
accept the tape on the next run; it refers to whether AMANDA considers that
tape in the media pool available for that config. Unlike a program such as
Lone-Tar Backup where you can put just about anything in the drive and it
the lines in by hand in case I was bringing over control characters with
my copy and paste in ProComm. Same result. I know dtimeout and ctimeout are
standard configuration keywords, so why the error? How do I fix it? Any ideas?
Thanks so much!

I've been trying to get our restore procedure setup, and now I'm at the
point where I eed to restore a file and can't get it done.
At first, all connections to the server using amrecover were refused. I
found a few setup issues that have been corrected:

Personally, my largest source of "delete-able" mail by far is this list.
That is not a comment upon its overall value, just that most of what I get
on a daily basis does not apply to me. Typically either I do not have the

This Amanda server continues to back up other clients without failure.
Since amcheck can't find the remote client using its IP address, I'm
assuming it's not a DNS issue. Any ideas?
