even more observations: as said the tape changer seems to work
now somewhat (albeit slow changing :-) but somehow amanda it-
self seems to be a bit confused about which tape to use if
i read the follwing:
These dumps were to tape fptsys04.
The next tape Amanda expects to use is: fptsys04.

i'm currently trying to migrate an amanda setup on solaris 8 using
a normal ddsIII tape to it using a 6x24 ddsII hp dat changer and
have some problems to get the changer recognized on that machine -
so my questions are: is there any documentation regarding this
