I just talked to Mike on the phone,
Isn't this essentially the same idea behind the BC-610? It ran a single

The BC-610 uses plate neutralisation. That means the plate tank circuit
is balanced just like a pushpull amplifier, but the grid tank is

Tom, some auto parts stores can still order the old solid core spark
plug wire in most any lengths. I got a whole spool of it several
years back. It is easily

The good stuff is Belden 8866. That's 18 ga picture tube wire rated to 40 kV.
Any of the usual Belden distributors should have. I use it in the
UHF TV transmitters for the 30 kV IOT tube
Neon sign shops have wire that will easily handle 2 kw. How much do you
need?

Went to the only good hamfest left in these parts on
Sunday. It was the Breezeshooters fest and it turned
out pretty good after starting off slowly. Vendors and
customers seemed to arrive late. I had to leave at
11AM to go to a funeral home, but there was still a
lot of interesting stuff going on
For only 2 kV I just would use RG58.

following differences:
The case is the more streamlined Apache styled case, painted Grey Wrinkle,
instead of glossy green.
The loading control is changed from a stepped switched cap control, to a
variable control using a
Your local auto parts store. As for the bulk metal spark

I am looking for a cone type insulator about 1 3/4 wide at the large end
and 7/8 at the small end and 2 1/2 long. The one I need is hollow and has
a rim to fit into the mounting hole. You can see a picture at either of the

I like using neon sign wire.
Rated for many KV and pretty cheap.
Especially if you ask a sign jobber after he as built a sign.
You might get some for free or next to nothing.
