Hi all,
Does anyone have an EC8010 that they would like to sell? I believe it's also
called an 8556, a 9-pin miniature UHF triode used as a buffer in the
Hewlett-Packard 608F signal generator.
Thanks much. 73, Ed - AA8TV

I have yet to get seriously interested in contesting. If I cannot have at

A number of the ARRL contests and others no longer even use signal
reports as part of the exchange and I think you will more contests doing
away with them. The RST report is not part of the multiplier so most of
us don't care what the signal report is. If I'm using a paper log, and a

Did some listening on my SX-62B last evening, and got to wondering about what
could be the differences between the SX-62, the SX-62A and the SX-62B.
This morning I did a Google on the subject, but came up short.
Anyone on the list know what differences there may be?

There's growing sentiment in the contesting community, which I

Hi Rick,
Not to belabour the point, but a serious contestor just has no time for the
proverbial "...old buzzard" transmission typical of AM operations...besides,
he's just plain, NOT interested: he wants to maximize his QSO total, & final
score. Period.
He KNOWS he sounds good, when he's racked-u
Hi Don,
You HAVE to be a dyed-in-the-wool contestor to really "...get" the whole
notion, I s'pose...!
In the final summation, individual signal reports mean zip / zero / nada,
when you get upwards of 2-3+ QSOs per minute...

I'm looking for an AM-bandwidth IF filter for the Yaesu FT-301D on my bench
