Hi Joe,
The James Millen 90831 Modulator used two 6146's in Push-Pull. The
schematic and manual can be downloaded at the Millen Society website:

I think you mean it as a resolution of .001 volts. Accuracy is
indicated as ±(1.5% + 2digits), which is still pretty accurate.
Although unlike larger DMM's I doubt it has internal adjustment to
recalibrate, so stability of that accuracy is really undefined. For our
ham work it's a good deal

Hi Mike,
Is it coming in via the power line? If yes, the 1025 or 1026 won't
help. If you have a battery operated receiver and you still hear the
noise then it's radiated noise and in that case the 1025 or 1026 should
be able to remove such noise.

Hi Van,
Local hardware stores will have the pointer knobs for the 500A. They
call them "appliance knobs" and they are in those pullout plastic
drawers that almost all good hardware stores have. I bought several a
few years back for my 500B.

Hi Mark thanks for the nice reply, and those from the many others as
well. John KB6SCO did point out the notice they recently added to the
website under "Contact" that indicate they had a major crash of their
database computer and are working to restore and catch up. It does
