The first thing I do is listen for K4KYV on 1885. If I dont hear Don, most likely the band is dead or time to listen on 1985. Good Luck. K0NG.

Don: I too have a couple of articals about "bias shift Heising". I dont however have one that uses the pre-amp circuits of DX-40/60. Can you steer me to somewhere I can get a copy ?? I am capable of designing my own but also smart enough to learn from other designers ! 73, Charlie, K0NG

Re: [AMRadio] 10 Meter AM Frequencies

Hello Don: Several of the HX-10 units locally sound pretty fair with a new microphone. Also same applies to the HR-2600 and HR-2510. Use low Z dynamics 500-600 Ohms. D-104 does not work well. Regards, Charlie, K0NG

Re: [AMRadio] Yaesu FT-101E

2006-03-02 Thread k0ng
Hey Dan: I am surprised the manual does not list frequency ranges. Not familiar with the FT-101 but if it has two ranges on 10 meters now, subtract the difference between the crystal frequencies and you will likely have the coverage in KHz ? 73 DE Charlie, K0NG ..
