Andrew, If you're looking for recommendations, I'd pick #3. It keeps the control of the motors in the same place that does the measurement of where the antennas currently are. The tighter that loop is the more accurate will be your positioning, and the more tolerant it will be of interface

I wonder if anyone has had any luck doing this. I have a ft-100 and 706mkIIG for radios. HRD will talk to each radio. I cannot get the second radio recognized by the program. would like to tune downlink with one radio and the uplink with the other radio using one instance of the HRD program.

[amsat-bb] antenna question

2009-10-22 Thread Samudra Haque
Hi, Amsat-BB Are there any antenna designs that use predominantly rotating sub-reflectors and a reflector for tracking LEO birds, in contrast to rotating the main antenna structure on booms in the AZ-EL directions ? I am aware of multi-LNB antenna arrangements, thought it would be interesting to

Hi Luc, TLMEcho is the program for LIVE decoding of AO-51 telemetry packets during a pass. Some telemetry channels are sent via 9600 baud packet at a regular interval, usually 10 seconds, and TLMEcho can decode these (using a 9600 baud modem) LIVE as they are coming down. The new WOD decoder is

Samudra, You could use a polar mount and preset mast angle and azmuth before each pass. That will give you a single axis control. Most antennas are moer that 30 degrees in beamwidth, the system only needs to be close +/- 15 degrees to have max signal. Art, KC6UQH -Original Message- From:
