Okay 38k4 packet operators, get ready to start your engines!!
AO-51 is scheduled for a four day period of high speed packet
operations at 38k4 bps. If memory serves me correctly, it's been
about 2 years since the satellite was configured in this mode. The
satellite will be in high power mode
The frequency for the 38k4 operation is 435.150, not the 437.150 that
I typoed. :)
Sorry for creating confusion.

Hi David!
Just found the times for this weekends active periods have been published.

I e-mailed them when I saw the schedule, since those times did not cover
any passes for North America. Jan-Albert ZR1JAK quickly replied, saying
that this schedule is for South
The resistor value, R is given by:
R = (VS - VL) / I
VS = supply voltage
VL = LED voltage (usually 2V, but 4V for blue and white LEDs)
I = LED current (e.g. 20mA), this must be less than the maximum permitted
Here is the standard calculation

A quick glance appears to show none of the posted passes hitting North America.
Maybe they're focusing on the AMSAT-SA Satellite Activity Weekend.

Hello
It will be a busy weekend on SO-67 as we intend to schedule the FM V/U
cross-band repeater on Sumbandila as listed below (all times in UTC; all
activations 15 minutes duration). We appreciate all feedback, which you're
welcome to post on AMSAT-BB, or alternatively on the Sumbandila Google

Hi Tim and everyone,
AO-7 is what got me interested in satellites. I can well remember
reading about it as a teenager and seeing the artist rendering of it on
the cover of QST. I had yet to pass my ham test but I dreamed of
operating on that satellite. It seemed so exotic and it seemed
Wow, I'll be able to hear this one.

This kit was installed in an aluminum box. I suspect the on board back
battery is pretty dead as this unit hasn't been used in some years.

Evening All,
I would be interested to know if anyone received my SSTV image
transmitted on the most recent AO-51 pass (23:40 utc)
Thanks

Hi Rodney,
I only need two more states to complete the lower 48 on the LEOs
handheld, with my homebrew cheap yagi, Colorado and Wyoming, so I'd
love to catch you in WY on this trip. If we can do a sched that would
be great. Thanks!

I have a cousin to this converter (visually identical) and I found that it
is very sensitive to low input voltage such as that caused by a lossy
inserter, or insufficient supply current, such as that provided by my Yaesu
Ft-847. It will operate at 12V, but is much less noisy and more stable at
