I tested that with the FT-817 as Radio 1 and the FT-847 as Radio 2 (I
don't have an FT-897).
My settings in menu Radio Setup:
Radio 1: FT-817
Cat baud rate: 38400
COM port x
CAT delay: 20
Radio 2:
FT-847
CAT baud rate 57400
COM port y
Option Autom. Rx/Tx change checked, all other options

Just upgraded my station to a full set of movable antennas (m2), 5500, LVB
etc..
