Currently the Russian cosmonaut(s) send SSTV images from the Space Station for
the MAI-75 experiment.
Probably different SSTV modes will be used these 3 days of activity, and it is

All of the current amateur radio hardware is FM only.
SSTV from ISS is FM-5k, 145.800 downlink.
The Doppler on 2meters is small, so you do not really have to
bother with Doppler.

To answer some of my own questions, I went to the UaesuPar.SQF file and
saw that the com port speed was set to 4800. Edit the file to have it at
38400 and it worked fine. However, like the FT-857 now, switches back
and forth between vfos while during the doppler corrections. Doesn't

Nothing comes close in FM and its also very good in SSB.
FM has 3 triple conversion RX and Normal and narrow FM filters.
Easy to use Sat mode switch for Doppler correction.
I have owned both Yaesu FT-736R and the Icom IC-910.

My old Kenwood TM-731A seems to work fine; has 2 antenna ports, so either
seperate 2m or 70cm antennas or get a diplexer. +35 watts out. I am sure there
are newer rigs, but cant complain about this old critter.

The VCH1 runs on Batteries:
The VCH1 Communicator is a microphone with a camera, that plugs into the
Kenwood TM-D700 transceiver. The camera requires four (4) AA batteries.
Without batteries the camera will not run.
The VCH1 will consume a full set of 4-batteries in 4-8 hours..
