Hi!
Ray W1OTH sent me an updated list of items he would like to sell.
Some of the items are from the original list I posted for him, and
other items were found as Ray has done more cleaning since he sent
me his first list. For all items on here, please contact Ray directly

Anyone in N. America up early for AO-7 Mode B try? On the next pass starting
about 0925Z, my footprint will extend deep into N. America, Minnesota to the
west and Georgia to the south. Look for me on the top portion of the passband,
145.959 or so. Signals were very strong on the last pass, an

Hi Bill,
I use this exact same setup. I originally bought the preamp for mobile use,
but I have enjoyed using it for the Arrow as well. I carry it in a camera
bad (that fits it perfect) on my waist powered by 8AA batteries inside thee
pack. How did you mount yours? I don't use a tripod, but
I've been able to fit up a pre-amp to my Arrow. I have a ARR 432 switched
pre-amp with it's own battery pack on the 432-side of the arrow to hear
better on low (<10 deg) passes. Still using the FT-530 HT with a headset.
There were two low Atlantic passes this morning, one each on AO-27 and
AO-5
Heads up this August 5-7: Be sure to look for W1AW/5 operating on all
available satellites from Taos, New Mexico. http://www.2011convention.org
I plan to bring my mobile ground station and do demos throughout the duration
of the Convention. More information can also be found on my QRZ page:
The Stand-alone version (AOS205?). I had this running in XP, but my new work
laptop has Win7 64 bit.
I have Nova, and can use the scripting function to generate the same thing,
but I liked this little program.
The error messages I get do indicate it is a "64 bit" issue (but despite

Thanks, for the help.
Seems most of my concerns were centered around a typo!!! ICOM IC-910 manual

All indications are the pair or IC-7000’s will work just fine and a lot less

It's scheduled to go into orbit around the asteroid tomorrow.

I can give you MA and possibly RI or NH with some planning
on the FM birds (you didn't say which bird).
Since I read via the bb archive, you'll need to send me your call or
an email address, 'cause I have no idea where you are. :-)
I have been active hand-held (FN42) on AO-27 and AO-51 the past f
1. I have one, but have never used it. If I am reading the satellite guide
correctly,
the only current bird I can use one on (mode B, 435MHz -- not 432) is VO-52.
Is that correct?
Or is the TX-RX completely wrong? (RX+TX=581.005)
2. I have read that the 2510 (newer version) was much easier to use
So that must be the issue... the standalone “zip” version (AOS205.zip)
located here: http://www.amsat-warenvertrieb.de/english.htm
does not appear to work, but the SatPC32 version does.
I’ll need to play more. Good leads, everyone.

I'm hoping to operate satellite portable from EM99rv, Marshall County
West Virginia, on the daytime passes from 1200 till about 2200 UTC
tomorrow 7/15. As always, weather- and Murphy-permitting.

Only worked KB1RVT on this pass, recording of the pass at:
www.qsl.net/nz5n/HRD 2011-07-14 052505.mp3
There was some construction nearby and you can hear distortion every time the
jackhammer was going.
I'll try again Saturday.

Hi Trevor, M5AKA
OSCAR NEWS was very nice only back early in 1970-1980 when James Miller
G3RUH and G3MQD Peter Greed tiched on it about Satellite Mechanical
Astronomy !
Actually the other information written on OSCAR NEWS are already available
on internet.

I am monitoring the K4FK repeater via Echolink, node 581415, if anyone wants to
talk prior to the AO-7 pass, which will be 20 minutes from now.

This is going to sound really crazy, but I went out tonight and got a
recording. It's a beacon in Johnson, Mn. I'm in fn11 1000+ miles away. Who
knew. Isn't this out of band for a beacon?
