Currently I have my LNBlock downconverter mounted at the antenna.
It is a High Sierra Microwave 432M7.
The antenna is a Uhf Ringo ranger set at the boiiom end of the band.
It is 25 feet up right now.
So, how do I realize more signal level?
Using my FT-950, both preamps on I can hear signals
Anyone have any news on how these two sats are doing?

Hi Alan,
To answere your question it is necessary to know the following data:
1) Gain in dBi and polarization of your antenna UHF Ringo ranger set.
2) Noise Figure NF in dB and gain in dB of your LNB High Sierra
Microwave 432M7 downconverter.
3) Value in MHz of the IF of your 432M7
Looking for a few folks to try out this program that is designed for demos
and education.
If any AMSAT's were left out or want to be excluded let me know.
The video high def and is best viewed full screen.
If you are interested in trying the program let me know.
Hi Alan,
It's not clear to me what your problem is since you said you are hearing
signals. Are you not hearing signal with the HSM 432M7?
The High Sierra Microwave 432M7 has a noise figure of less than 1 dB.
Check your data sheet and it should likely be around 0.6 dB. The gain of
25 dB is
Very nicely done ... clean, clear, and concise!

I want to give a huge Thank You to all of the guys at the Dayton
Hamvention for the information they shared at the AMSAT booth and the
demonstrations. After a few unsuccessful tries I made my first QSO on SO-50
about 10 minutes ago. I only made one contact tonight, that being KC9TTR in
Indiana,
Congratulations!
Welcome to the world of amateur radio satellites. Ham radio will never be
the same :-)

Steve,
Congratulations! I still remember my first Sat QSO as if it were yesterday.
The thrill of hearing my downlink and then the response from W6AJP was one
of the highlights of my time as a ham.
Now be sure to apply for the Satellite Communicators Award. Details are the
AMSAT web page.
