I looked at the photos one last time. I think the 70 cm antenna is a KLM
based on the number of elements. Cushcraft is 38 elements and KLM is 40.

Hi John,
The 70 cm antenna could be Cushcraft, but I think the 2M is KLM because of
the configuration of driven elements. Folded dipole vs T match.

I have a set of older Cushcraft
2M looks like a KLM 22c with polarity switcher
70 cm looks like a KLM 40cx with polarity switcher
1.2 G looks like a Tonna (F9FT?) http://www.f9ft.com/indexe.html

Hi Takushi,
Some success this morning. I received only 2 data bursts. It started to
rain and I had to cover equipment.
I did receive the first data burst at 11:32:37.5 so your timing is very
good! I synchronized the clock on my computer with NTP about 1/2 hour before
the pass started.
Hi Takushi,
All set here. We had a brief rain shower, but everything was covered in
plastic, so no problem.

That's a nice result.
Do you have details of your downconverter/receive/antenna system posted
online?

Hi Takushi,
I loaded the latest keps today and the pass times are confirmed. Looking
forward to hearing NIWAKA!
I will be recording the pass using a FunCube Dongle in I & Q RF mode, so
I'll have ~ 80 kHz of bandwidth. If I'm able to detect the signal on 10 Nov,
I can try an RTL SDR receiver
I should have mentioned these times are UTC.

Does FITSAT-1 transmit on 5.84 GHz when over the east coast of the US? If
it does, I'd like to try and hear it. 2' dish and SDR for detection here.

Hi Tom,
There will be an article coming up in the AMSAT Journal on work that W1GHZ,
W1FKF and I have done on tapping the common IF in the FT-817 and using the
FunCube as a Panadapter. Our primary application is weak signal microwave.
I would think it would work well for satellite. That way yo

Hi Mark,
That is the way they're supposed to work. +12v receive - 0v on xmit.
It is fine with a Yaesu FT-736R using the built in preamp feed system -
power up the coax. Just have to watch out for any DC block.
It also would work with a Yeasu FT-847 if it had 1296.
I had one for a while.
