Here is the audio I copied from ARISSAT-1 on the 9:45 pm PDT pass over
Sacramento, CA tonight.
While dark out here, you can hear the voice say:

I acquired the FM downlink signal at 0600 UTC and heard part of the
diagnostic message and the ID. The signal initially wasn't clear but it
improved by 0602 with little noise, strength of at least S8, and no fading.
At 0602, the following was transmitted after the ID and greeting:

During the 2320Z pass of ARISSat-1 over North America this evening a number of
changes to the 2m FM transmissions were noted.
1) Male voice for telemetry means that the female voice files on the SD card
could not be read
2) No greetings, mean that the greetings stored on the SD card could not be

S7 and no fading but some noise.

Appreciate confirmation of station calling W8ZCF on subject ARISSat Pass. Was

I was only monitoring 145.950. Heard ARISSat-1 "key up" during this pass in
DM13 (only 8 degrees elevation), but no audio heard.

re-entry date of 2012 January 12 with a rule-of-thumb error estimate of +/- 10
days or so for ARRISSat-1 (37772).

The decay rate of ARISSat-1 has slowed down from the last decay prediction
I produced on 2011 Dec. 14.
It currently appears that ARISSat-1 (37772) will now decay on 2012 January 3
plus or minus a day. Caveat lector.

Hello,
I finally got a very good pass of ARISSAT-1 over Puerto Rico with good
SSTV capture and a clearly heard message from Wesley (KP4WES).
What you see is a RealVNC connection to a Windows 7 PC in Puerto Rico
and a RemoteRig operated transceiver (Kenwood TM-D700) at my dad's house
east of
Satellite is high power mode. Strong Signal on VHF downlink.
MET: 1 minute (must just come out of reset ?)
Battery Voltage: 35.7 V
Current: - 4 mA
Temp: 26.5 Deg.

A friend of mine is a schoolteacher who is planning on using Arissat in a
classroom presentation. I wrote a paper detailing how to install/configure
Orbitron and Nova for Windows demo (for eclipse prediction). Also included are
some helpful setup procedures for field operations.

A nice strong pass over NH around 1500z. Many telemetry frames decoded and
forwarded. The little guy is still going strong! Oddly, the doppler
predictions seemed to be pretty close today even at its highest point when
the frequency changes most rapidly. Is there low solar activity or
