Analog produces HTML output when you run it,
but it doesn't produce data when you run it with
the settings flag at the command line? My only
other idea is to specify the full path for analog
when running it with the settings flag. You will
probably need to delete the old "blah" file or to
append
analog 5.24 on a gentoo 1.4 running kernel 2.4.19-gentoo-r5

I tried SETTINGS ON which seemed not to do anything. I also tried from
the command line "analog -settings -G +gconfig > blah" which didnt
output anything to the file.

Have you tried "SETTINGS ON" to see how Analog
is interpreting your configuration file(s). More info at

I could be wrong here, but, isn't OUTPUT just a location, as opposed to a
type?
