The Splash Screen activity does not handle any intent. It just waits 1.5
secs and display an image. After that, the main activity is called
(via startActivity()).
The main activity does handle intents for incoming images.
However, that exception happened when i launched the app pressing its icon
Google removed one of my apps from the market a couple years ago. They
gave me no explanation and would not response to any inquiries. It was
completely ridiculous.

It is strange that (so far) noone has tried to answer my questions. In
particular because (AFAIK) Google does not seem to have given any info
about how to give or sell your apps to other publishers. And also because
many of you may end up with the same problem.
