Actually I figure it out. In 2.3.1+ there is a configurable attribute
"Over scroll mode" and I can set it to "never" in Eclipse and it will
hide the fading edge when you over scroll the content!

It's a background service which must remain connected, and also cannot
be overridden by the user, so I need a programmatic solution to keep

other tower my G1 registers as available is an AT&T tower. I have
tried connecting to it and the G1 states that due to my sim card, it
