I am also having the same problem, sending location through Eclipse

works fine, but when i use telnet and "geo fix" command, precision is
messed up.

I don't have an answer for your problem, but I wanted to point out
that Helios is not recommended for Android development. I am still
running Ganymede on a recommendation posted here in the group, I think
by Romain Guy. I don't know if it specifically has a problem with
DDMS.
