I've got similar issue. I downloaded the source code from omap4boot and
compiled using the same environment setup as Android.
I've read somewhere that this is related to the method used by the tool to
poll information. I'm not sure about that too. But I compiled it and it
worked.

Do you have a serial console cable hooked up so that we may see the output?
One thing to note, without the serial console cable, the output from
usbboot isnt obvious... it just flashes over bootloader, and without
