The gentoo kernel I like and I'm using right now. But its not very easy
to do unless you have a gentoo box lying around. I would say experiment
yourself...a
I can't possibly imagine there'd be any "distro-specific" caveats with
compiling kernels, but I'm also somewhat curious about the various patch
branches etc that I've seen online. Some seem to deal with security,
others with bugfixes, some with performance ... anyone have any
suggestions on thi
