seeing guests become unresponsive after several hours?", I have been working
the issue on the vbox-users list. The problem effects VirtualBox when accessed
over ssh, and Windows guests run --headle
Last I was aware VirtualBox has some stability issues with KDE. Maybe, try
Cinnamon or one of the lighter weight desktops.

I just updated virtualbox-bin from aur to 4.1.16 and I'm confused by the
drop of the /etc/rc.d/vboxdrv init script. After building and installing the
package I received the warning:

Hell, I just got enough of this and installed the virtualbox modules directly
from the VBoxGuestAdditions.iso, which is mounted by virtualbox when you say
that it should install the guest additions.

You can install them from source, but there are existing tools to do so.
Install the virtualbox-source package, then run "vboxbuild" as root to

I think you mean rc.d here, but there is no init script anymore. To
build the modules /usr/bin/vboxbuild must be used now.
