You can always rip lossless mp3s or AACs to keep the sound quality close to the CD. There is also general agreement amongst audiophiles that 192 kbps is a rate that is close enough to the CD at the same time providing the convenience of lesser file size.. iPod stock earphones are horrible. Senn
