Downloading illegal music - bad. Purchasing CDs - good. Download is done as a
matter of ease of distribution/ availability. Purchasing CD once it releases -
done as a matter of policy.

While I agree with Gopal's sane argument, it is reasonable to expect fans and
normal people to look forward to the CD, during a launch event. That has been
the trend in the Indian music industry for ages. If the event was a glitzy
gimmick to spread the word about the movie - it is perfectly fine
