Dear ARSListers,
I can honestly say that I have never experienced such a flood of requests to
submit papers before issuing our Call For Papers in the recent history of
WWRUG. So for those of you that have been asking (and there have been many)
we have now officially opened the Call For Papers
I believe the answer is if you choose the 64 bit oracle server your client for

Mario,
It can go both ways. I believe that it has some value. For example, if someone
is working on a Problem Investigation and they are trying to match incidents
together, the person may want to let the support user who is working on the
incident know that it is part of a potential problem
You mean windows???
So finally it have be concluded to go with this setup
Application Server: windows 2003 32 bit enterprise (Cannot go for 2008
as I think 6.3 will not work on this. Please correct me if I am wrong)
Oracle: Windows 2008 32 bit enterprise with Oracle 10g R2.

David (or anyone else),
I heard from BMC support that there is a patch (1?) coming out for CMDB
7.6.04. Any ideas or details around when it will be released?

Is it true that the installable client is scraped and that ITSM is now only
availible as a WEBCLIENT?
Is there comprehensive information somewhere regarding this, or the product
in general that someone could link me to?
Thanks
/michael
I am told by BMC Support that release date was the 15th of April but delayed a
few weeks. This was ITSM 7.6.04 patch 1. That should also include CMDB.

David,
Does this mean that there will always be some form of current user tool to
use for administration purposes?
Thank you!

removed.

Unfortunately that specific reference is not in the index of that document
or the Master Index, so I should rely on find in PDFs more often. Thanks

Correct. The expectations are that in the release that the Remedy User client
is no longer shipped with the ITSM Suite, the administrative capabilities

I guess this may be a result of using 7604 against a 7.5 AR System server.
However, the error isn't handled well at all.

selected the 32-bit JVM for AREmail? If you use the 64-bit JVM for AREmail it
will not be able to connect using MAPI.
