Yes, good call, but only if you're using an IIS/Apache front end and mod_jk, which almost everyone should not need to do so. And if you're using IIS/Apache, mod_jk is not a modern choice of component - the C is pretty ropey. mod_proxy_ajp or mod_proxy_http are neater solutions.
