We use view forms in our application. Hence, not all the core fields are
present.
When executing a web service (probably on mid-tier also), an ARERR 9130 occurs
and report "???: <8> Field does not exist ..." and a http 500 error is returned
(Internal Server Error).
I haven't touched a remedy

I do exactly like what Rick does as well. It has the added benefit of
ensuring the sender is allowed to open/update tickets. If the email doesn't
match any users, I send back an email to the sender informing them no action
was taken and the reason.

I normally troll the arslist look for my answers and move one. But
this time I have to ask for help.
Problem 1. The issue I'm having is with SSO. Everything works.
However, when my users create/update tickets, it consistently takes

Mimi,
You can update the data on a remedy form during import, but you must
have the Entry-ID/Request ID (C1) as part of the record your are
importing and you need to set your preferences to Update Old Record

Try this:
do

Favorites are stored with the filename of $USER$_fav.dat
You will probably find this in your Application Data/AR System or
Application Data/Remedy directory in Document and Settings or where
ever you have specified during installation.
