We just installed ITSM 7.0.3 (change management module). We already have BMC
fundation and topology discovery populating the CMDB (2.1) with configuration
items. BMC discovery categorizes all configuration items discovered and insert
that categorization in the attributes Category
If you're considering a BMC discovery product, I would strongly encourage
you to consider using one of the agent-based ones. The cheaper agentless
one (Foundation Discovery) is having some issues where we're trying to
deploy it. It's not a bad product, but its functionality and

into. If you're not using the CMDB, I wouldn't even consider the BMC
Discovery Suite.
