BMC_GLOBAL_DEFAULT_SRVC CI

Hi All, CMDB 7.6.04 SP2 The BMC_GLOBAL_DEFAULT_SRVC CI appears in the Service field menu on the Infrastructure Change form. BMC tells us that this CI should never be deleted. Does anyone know precisely what it is for? I guess it's to do with the Service Catalog functionality in Atrium
