Neel, After recently reading EmailEngine-630.pdf for a few details about how it handles multi-threading it think there are a few possible issues with your design. ( I have not reviewed the v7 EmailEngine docs, but I am also unaware of any major changes in it's design between the two versions.)

Hello everybody, Outbound emails seem to be working. However, it's rather random. We have about 100-125 or so outbound mailboxes with polling interval of 15 minutes and every hour 1500 or so emails are going out. Now, sometimes, emails take REALLY long time to go out and waiting in the queue
