Ok, I have to askwhat is a donkey's age anyway? I mean a newborn
donkey could be only minutes old. Or a mature donkey could be decades.
Honestly, that's rather a vague timeframe. Should we begin measuring
process runtime by solar and lunar cycles now? Eons? Yes, this process
has run for 4.3*10^
Not a dumb question (IMHO). The 'virus found' BombRE landed us in hot
water last week. I turned it off (again) since AVG Free appends 'N0
v f0und' on outgoing scan so every AVG user sending us email didn't
get it through.

So if I understand this thread correctly, the discussion is as follows:
1) ASSP is installed on a server which connects either Internet->LAN or
Internet->DMZ
2) We want to give an application on this server the ability to execute
remote commands based on (hopefully) sanitized input directly from

Well ASSP doesn't actually relay mail as it is not an MTA it is an SMTP
Proxy. It hands mail off to your MTA (sendmail? Qmail? Exchange?). I
would suspect a misconfiguration on your MTA is what is preventing
non-local email relaying.
To what MTA are you having ASSP hand off e-mail?
