1. Does anyone have any experience with SipMedia good/bad?
2. When a number is ported say from DIDx or another provider, who owns that number?
3. Lets say I colo'd an asterisk box and leased a t1 from a CLEC
and
ported DIDs from SipMedia or DIDx; If either of these
companies were to go under
1. Does anyone have any experience with SipMedia good/bad?
Sip Media is a DIDX Member, Member id is 700444 and you can buy there did via
didx
at a good rate, and test them for 36 hrs at no cost to you.

that number?
35Cents a month with no per min charge, including commision rates.
This is a 1000 DID price.
If you take up to 250 DID's commision rate is 1$ per did, therefore the price
becomes
1.15$ a month with no per min charges.
So anyone can purchase a thousand DIDs from you at .35 cents a DID
per
Dear Shaidan,
You need to find a provider that can port these numbers, but yes you can do it.
When you signup, you will get 1 FREE DID number, you can take that and port it
away
to whoever you want to port it to.
You will not be charged anything, no per month, no porting, no monthly, nothing.

Dear Rehan. Oops
For what it's worth, I think that it is probably a good idea for a
business such as DIDx to exist. However, I think that DIDx needs to
radically change their business practices and the way in which they
represent and market themselves in order for anyone to take them
seriously and in order for
over which DID has very little, if any, influence
Err, make that, over which DIDx has

Dear Nabeel,
Yes You can port away,
We give you 2 FREE DID when you signup, you can port them away also, to see how
the system works.

I know at least in Washington State you do not even
need to serve the person you have filed against. Just
an abled body adult at the known address of the person
being served. Sounds to me like it was a bogus threat
in the first place. But logic from my experiances does
not apply to the court
So what is the absolute minimum monthly total cost? Suppose I only want
1 DID, not 250 of them. Assume that I am going to use it heavily at
least in the daytime. I just don't see how any vendor can provide
something like that for a dollar or two per month.

I honestly hope that DIDx does straighten up!
DIDx has the poitential to make a difference. It is just that now they
dont do very well at understanding the problems with their own system. I
am trying to get some criticisim through their head, and I am not the
only one, nor the only one who

How can I obtain my own DIDs? What is the cheapest
way? How do companies like IPComms and Level3 do
it? Ultimately, I'm looking to co-locate an asterisk switch
in the NY Region, run some t1s to it and get a bunch of
DIDs. Simply want to know the cheapest way of doing
this. Which telco hotels?

I belive that the cheapest place you can get any did in wholesale still remains

And you own the DID's
With prices for US DID's as low as 35 cents a month with no per min charges,

Similarly 40 cents a month with no per min charge for
