Hi all. First thing: I want to thank you all for your help over the
past month as I've been learning asterisk. This is one of the more
helpful lists. Even when I ask questions that have answers in the wiki
( which I missed because I've been over studying ).
Second thing is this: My office
i am in germany and use app_sms to send sms messgaes to mobile phones.
app_sms does not talk directly to mobile phones but to the sms message
center that in turn sends the sms to the mobile.
sending sms works very well to all mobile networks

Thanks. I have tried the Local before and I was seeing some weird "results" in call setups... maybe I was doing something wrong... I would see Asterisk ring the local and then ring the actual extension and it seemed to cause issues... I will try it again.

center itself: so if you connect some sms capable fixed line phone to
