Hello there.
Is there somebody with this connection working? I can't seem
to make this work at all. Could someone
please share some .conf files?
Cheers,
Vedran.

Hello Lists
I need help to setup a GNUGK with an Asterisk my needs are simple
I have:
billing system compatible with GNUGK
SIP ATA devices for origination
h323 and SIP termination services
1 linux box (can be 2 in same datacenter)
I need:
Sip traffic from ATAS point to asterisk then tranlsate
No, sorry, we didn't. We got it working by having asterisk talk
directly to the iMerge server.

I guess check lists would be turning off your test box firewall
We have asterisk and the Lucent iMerge working together now.

On thing that isn't working well yet. If you call in from the outside,
wait for the phone to ring on the inside, then hang up. Asterisk
doens't seem
And on further inspection. The iMerge never sends anything to asterisk
after the incoming call was terminated.

I guess check lists would be turning off your test box firewall (
iptables etc ) and make sure all the necessary port are available for
h323 call.

Hello Gang,
I'm trying to get asterisk to play with a Lucent iMerge. It seems to
that GnuGK talks to it a bit better. So I'm trying to get this:
PSTN-iMerge-GnuGK-Asterisk.
I'd like to get GnuGK and Asterisk running on the same box. Do they get
in each others way?
Any tricks to getting them
I tried to do similar thing with avaya definity.
I end up doing make asteirsk h323 client to avaya deifnity h323
gateway. It worked for my purpose. if you control over iMerge, this
can save a little bit of headache instead of goingthourh gnugk.
good luck.

That's what I treid first, but the Lucent iMerge and asterisk don't seem
to play well together.
I have it so calls from PSTN-iMerge-asterisk ring, but I can't get the
call to complete. the iMerge seems to drop the call as soon client answers.
I know someone who got it working with gnuGK
I've tried every variation I can think of and always seem to end up with
one of the two servers frantically trying to authenticate itself.
I guess it it just he different terminology in the config files that is
confusing me.
Could I beg a hint?

While you may be able to make it work, it will not be a very friendly
We need to be able to support Netmeeting users and in doing so we need to
authenticate them to ensure that we don't get unauthorised users.
I'd love to stick to SIP, but it is not an option unfortunately.

Yep! Just have asterisk bind to another port than 1720. Of course, your
problem with be codecs like g723.1.
