I'm about to set up a voicemail system for multiple wholesale customers.
So I use a realtime mysql config for the mailboxes.
All single mailboxes have their information about the number, emailaddress,
password in the database. This works fine.

did anybody manage to configure Asterisk (1.4.8) with imap voicemail
storage together with an Microsoft Exchange Server (2003)?
I can connect my asterisk to a local dovecot imap server without problems.
But if I change the settings to our exchange server I can´t connect...

Is there a way to put a voicemail quota to a SIP user? I mean a quota on the
user's mailbox instead
of a particular message of the user like the 'maxmessage' does currently.
Quata can be total file size of message or
total minutes of messages of a mailbox.

Hi guys,
I'm new to Asterisk, so I'm hoping someone can guide me :-)
Currently, I am having the configuration as follows :
PSTN -> Cisco router -> Sip Express Router -> Asterisk Voicemail
I'm able to get the part from PSTN to Sip Express Router working, but
I can't integrate Asterisk with Sip E
Further invetigation revealed that app voicemail did
not like the fact that I had the context set to
'local' as apposed to 'default'
Any ideas' or shall I raise this as a bug ?

Hi there, im having some troubles with my asterisk service, sometimes when im trying to make an outbound call, to any of the phones configured on the asterisk box, it enters inmediatly to voicemail and then hungs up. After that its necessary to stop the service and putting up again manually.

You need to configure something in extensions.conf to access voicemail.
I usually use something like this:
exten => 8500,1,VoiceMailMain(s${CALLERIDNUM})
exten => 8500,2,Congestion
Then you'll want to configure the voicemail URI on the 7940 so that it
calls extension 8500.
